For twenty years a hectic life was not conducive to pursuing the art seriously. One birthday her dad gave her money. On impulse she bought a darkroom enlarger on eBay.

Since that impulse Rebecca embraced black-and-white film photography and she launched a children’s portraiture business. Her work drew the attention of Norman Riley, a master photographer who taught and encouraged her. Eventually he introduced her to the dying art of large-format photography.

Rebecca creates images exclusively using large cameras and develops prints in her basement darkroom. She shoots to tell stories and to preserve a small part of history so that future generations may have a glimpse of the way we were. All photos Copyright Rebecca Malone.[/person_box]
